qwicmail is operated by Teqpace Services Ltd. — a Lagos-based software firm that builds and runs production systems for the businesses it works with. qwicmail is our specialty arm focused on transactional email infrastructure.
The thesis
Email is older than most of the infrastructure it runs on, and transactional email — the boring receipts, login codes, and confirmations that businesses depend on — is the part that most providers under-invest in. The big platforms chase newsletter-volume customers. The cheap platforms chase the bottom of the price curve. Both end up with reputation pools that hurt the serious senders mixed in.
We built qwicmail because we needed it ourselves. We figured we couldn't be the only ones.
How we operate
Small team. Long-form code review. We run our own MTAs on our own IPs, on infrastructure we can SSH into. We deploy with systemd and reverse-proxy with Caddy. We log structured JSON and keep our observability honest. We charge enough to fund deliverability ops properly.
We bill in NGN-first through Paystack, with USD, GHS, KES, and ZAR also supported — built from Lagos, designed for African businesses but happy to take your card from anywhere.
Onboarding is closed because shared reputation matters and we'd rather say no than dilute the platform. If your application gets approved, you get an engineer-grade onboarding — not a sales handoff.
The roadmap
v1 covers what most businesses need: SMTP + HTTP API for sending, signed webhooks for events, domain authentication, dedicated IPs, suppression lists, audit logs. Coming: MJML/Maizzle template management, a status page hooked to real component health, per-tenant Grafana dashboards.
We don't ship before-it's-ready. Items we've decided to defer — OpenTelemetry SDK wiring, DANE/TLS-RPT, status-page automation — are written down in our public engineering log and revisited each phase gate.
